Stupid Knorr! Should Witnesses have Sunday school just for kids?
by Witness 007 inimagine sitting thru the watchtower study on a sunday with your 6 year old and 9 year old kids....the topic "fornication" the discussion explains how oral sex and touching of genitals is still fornication...why do kids have to sit thru this??
or the bible reading is about lot having sex with his daughters....this type of thing is not for kids!
and why should kids be forced to sit quietly while someone drones on for 2 hours?.

OK, I'm upset now from the memories this dredged up. I've still got issues and memories of my mom bringing the belt to the khall and threatening us with it, not to mention the images of mothers holding their babies and climbing to higher ground to escape flood waters. That really got my mind going at 9 years old.

Unbelievably rediculous! I thought England was better than that. Guess I was wrong.

I, too, wonder what goes on in his mind that enables him to come up with the scariest things.
I believe that we all have the ability to imagine horrible events but are in a state of denial.
He embraces his imagination.
We are affraid of ours.
I'm affraid of getting caught writing such stuff and being turned into the white coats.
If a kid writes like he does, that kid is thought to be mentally disturbed and is taken to a shrink.
If an adult writes it, it gets published and s/he is famous.
I've been tempted to write like this but affraid of getting caught.

I'm so glad that someone is doing something like this for xjw's. I wished the disfellowshipping thing would become illegal as it really is harmful, mentally and physically. Shouldn't it be illegal?

Oh how awful
I always back out slowly and check to make sure there is no one behind me in my apt. complex. So many kids, so many accidents waiting to happen. A boy here got hit by a car when he ran into the road. The car was going too fast. His leg was crushed but he healed. This year, he ran out again. No lesson learned. He's 14.

Opinion poll: Is it wrong for grandparents to buy presents for all but one?
by cognizant dissident inmy parents (jw's) have 4 small grandchildren between the ages of 5 and 8. they recently went on a trip and brought back presents for 3 of the kids but left out one because they "didn't have time to find anything".
my sister was very upset and refused to accept the present for her daughter if they had nothing for her son.
my parents thought she was making a big deal out of nothing and since gifts are voluntary, technically, they don't have to buy them for any of the kids and can do so as they choose.

My aunt and uncle did something similar. They invited me but not my brother to go out onto their boat. He felt crushed. I refused to go. I was 15 at the time and would have loved to go but explained to them that if my brother could not go, neither would I. It was a big boat able to hold 10 people.

Was everyone really vegeterian pre-flood?
by blkblk13 inok it's late and im bored and this might ramble a bit but i got to thinking, the wbts always proposes that everyone, b/f god gave noah permission to eat meat, was vegeterian.
witnesses always talk about how in the new system we will all go back to being vegeterian since i think in isaiah it says the the lion or wolf will graze and eat grass like the lamb or something and it was never gods plan for us to eat meat.. this doesn't sound right to me.
why would god make animals begin to eat each other if it was not according to his plan?

I go with what science has found and concluded: Our teeth match other vegi-animals. The teeth of meateaters match other meateaters.
Our teeth me to me that we were not meant to be meateaters.

Yet Another Dub Uban Legend...
by brinjen induring the eighties i remember hearing that our then prime minister robert hawke (also an athiest) said if he was ever going to join a religion, it would be the jehovah's witnesses as "they made the most sense.".

That is so weird. Maybe it is as you said, that it is the death=nothing idea that turns them on. I wonder how many actually have gone to the WT side.

Sinus problems
by Wordly Andre ini have had sinus problems my entire life, recently a friend told me about this sinu-cleanse thing, its a sinus cleansing treatment that you can get at cvs pharmacy, its pretty cool, its a little pot that you mix warm water with saline solution and put in one nostral and it drains out the other, the first time i used it i had a bad sinus head ache and thought well i will give this thing a try, so i mixed it up and did the treatment, blood clots and pink then red water started coming out of my nose, and after i noticed my headache was gone, i could breath great, and felt a lot less pressure in my head.
this thing is pretty awesome!
just thought i share with all of you.. sorry if its a bit gross.

As I'm reading this, I'm sitting here sniffling and sneezing and talking like I hab a teedible code. It's Alergies to spring. I'm getting one of these.
My yoga instructor showed us how to use it, but I thought that was the weirdest thing I ever saw.
Now, I'm desperate enough to try it. I'll give it a try every morning and every evening to honestly see if it works. I really have no doubt.
I'm just afraid of the drowning part, but if I just pretend that I'm changing a diaper and breathe through my mouth, then no problem:) Thanks so much for the idea!
